Magical, Sensuous and Occasionally Intimidating:
Air vibrating through organ pipes, flutes and saxophones
OF AIR features a musical journey through traditional chorales arranged by the brilliant improvisational musicians Johannes Landgren and Anders Hagberg as well as their own compositions.
ANDERS HAGBERG, flute, soprano saxophone is an internationally acclaimed jazz musician. His expressive touch can be heard in numerous recordings with groups such as Winduo, Earth Song and the Gunnel Mauritzon Band. For many years now, Anders has been employed as a teacher at the School of Music at Göteborg University.
JOHANNES LANDGREN, organ has toured most of Europe as a choir conductor and organ soloist. In more than ten CDs he has explored Renaissance, Baroque and contemporary music. In recent years, Johannes has been active as an organ teacher and has pursued research as well, mainly focusing on organ improvisation at Göteborg University. He has also a member of the board of the Göteborg International Organ Academy.
